How to use:

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED, YOU NEED TO PRESS TEST A SMALL, UNNOTICEABLE PATCH TO MAKE SURE YOUR ITEMS CAN WITHSTAND THE PRESSING! ALL FABRICS ARE DIFFERENT. SOME ARE OK TO PRESS, SOME ARE NOT.

1. Gather your materials. You will need your heat press (household iron NOT recommended), ironing board, the outfits you want to add crystals to, a rotary cutter, cutting mat, the free complimentary white pressing cloth included in your shipment, a hand held hotfix wand (mini press is an optional addition) and of course, your crystal sheets.

2. Preheat your press to the desired degrees.

(NOTE: THE TEMPERATURE YOU NEED TO SET YOUR PRESS AT AND THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU NEED TO PRESS FOR, WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE FABRIC THAT YOU ARE ADDING THE CRYSTALS TO AND THE PRESS YOU ARE USING!

I personally use a Cricut EasyPress2 and press all stretch fabrics so my machine is set at 375 degrees and I press each side for 25 seconds. Your settings may be different so you should do a test first.

(If your temperature is too low or you don’t press for long enough, the crystals may not adhere. If your temperature is too high or you press for too long, you could potentially burn/melt your item and/or take the dye off of the fabric. So please test a small patch to get the right settings.)

3. Lay your item to be pressed on the top or underneath the crystal sheet and cut WIDELY around your project, approximately a quarter to half inch or so. You must take care to cut wider than your item to ensure you do not cut the item itself.

4. Lay your complimentary pressing cloth on your ironing board and place your project on top of it.

5. Take the piece of the crystal sheet that you earlier cut in the shape of your item and peel it away from the white backing. The crystals should stay sticking to the clear sticky plastic sheet.

6. Place the clear sticky crystal sheet on top of your project, with the sticky part down, touching your item. Make sure it’s lined up the way you want it. If any crystals have shifted out of place, now is the time to push them into the place you want them. You cannot wait until after you press them. They will be extremely hard to move, or they may not be able to be moved at all.

7. Making sure your press has hit the desired degrees, take the press and put it directly on top of your project that also has the crystal sheet on top of it.

8. Press for your desired amount of time. PLEASE DO NOT IRON BACK AND FORTH, KEEP THE PRESS IN ONE PLACE.

9. After your press time is up, remove and secure the press.

10. Flip the whole thing over, complimentary white pressing cloth included, with everything face down. The smooth part of your clear crystal sheet should be directly on the ironing board, with your item on top of that, with the complimentary pressing cloth on top of that.

11. Press the white pressing cloth side for another desired amount of seconds.

12. After the those seconds are up, remove and secure the press.

13. Flip the white pressing cloth back over to the side with the crystal sheet on it and peel the sheet away from your project. CRYSTALS MAY BE HOT! SO DO NOT TOUCH THE CRYSTALS JUST YET!

14. After the crystals have cooled to your liking, test all crystals by doing a small nudge. If they lift any, secure them in place with your hotfix wand. If there is a group of them in the same spot that didn’t adhere, it may be easier to use your mini press.
